Where to eat in Singapore

Well about Singapore you can kind of say that I know my way around the healthy hotspots, local food and high dining. Been there done that, and I love Singapore. Visiting Singapore, lay over or modeltrip? You'll probably come to just eat all day long and try all the Hawker centre, with all the special Asian dishes you will never ever find somewhere else in the world! Did you even know that some Hawker centers have stalls which earned a Michelin star for their signature dishes? NO? Than I'm here to guide you through Singapores food walhalla!

Haakon Superfood

Haakon Superfood has multiple locations through Singapore, I went to the one in the shopping mall Sommerset, which is super convenient, because it is in the middle of busy Singapore life. They have everything going from curry rice bowls to avocado toast to acai bowls for a good affordable price!

Healthy stars: 4/5

Menu: DF, GF, fish, meat, Vegan, vegetarian

Recommendation: Green & Lean bowl

Suntec City Food Republic

Look we're not here to judge how the food looks in Singapore, Yes it doesn't all look appetizing to me as well, but you have to eat with your mouth and not with your eyes. So here is my 4,50SGD (3Euro) rice meal: Brown rice with veggie brinjal, mock meat, and green string beans with a hell lot of chili sauce, because that's the best part of the food stalls! Trust me on this one: try before judging.

Healthy stars: 2/5

Menu: DF, GF, fish, meat, Vegan, vegetarian

Recommendation: the vegetarian stall, try their sweet and sour "Pork"

Newton Food Centre

Newton food Centre is mostly known for it's wide scala of seafood stalls. Think about Chili Crab, fired oyster omelette, fishball noodles or deep-fried fishes! But of course next to this they have their veggies, noodles, rice and juices ready for you! My favorites here: Black carrot cake, popiah, pineapple fried rice, rojak

Healthy stars: 2/5

Menu: DF, GF, fish, meat, Vegan, vegetarian

Recommendation: Popiah

Seed and Soil

So going from super greasy oily foodcourts to probably the cleanest hotspot you can find in Singapore called Seed and Soil. Seed and Soil serves smoothies, smoothie bowls, juices and overnight oats. So after indulging yourself in what Singapore got to offer, you definitely would love to get something more light and healthy on the stomach, I'd recommend you trying out this gem based in Oatram.

Healthy stars: 5/5

Menu: DF, GF, Vegan

Recommendation: the Green bowl.

New Ubin seafood

New Ubin Seafood is well known under Singaporean citizens as one of the best places to find the number one Singaporean dish: Chili Crab. Obviously they also serve different kinds of crab, like the one with a shit tone of garlic, but also hokken mie noodles, steamed and fried buns, no worries also veggies, but I'd go for the Chili Crab.

Healthy stars: 3/5

Menu: DF, GF, fish, meat, Vegan, vegetarian

Recommendation: Chili Crab

Adrift by David Meyers

For those who have a little bit more to spend, or maybe want to have an amazing, indulging, over the top delicious Singaporean style brunch? Than Adrift is one of the restaurants in Marina Bay Sands Hotel to get your stomach stuffed at! No time for brunch? they have amazing cocktails and a dinner menu as well!

Healthy stars: 3.5/5

Menu: DF, GF, fish, meat, Vegan, vegetarian

Recommendation: their whole breakfast buffet with fresh fish, pastries, bread and exotic fruit

Beriwell

So sadly I found out they closed their doors, but than I found out they still have delivery serves! Beriwell is the very first restaurant in Singapore which serves acai soft serve, and better than that they do a swirl. I hear you thinking: "a swirl"? Yes ladies and gents a swirl. 50% acai, 50% coconut/50% blue spirulina coconut. As I said: A swirl!

Healthy stars: 5/5

Menu: DF, GF, Vegan, vegetarian

Recommendation: The swirl freeze

People's Park Hawker Centre

When I was living in Singapore I might have come here every single day. it was convenient since Chinatown is literally the centre of Singapore, everything kind of comes around here, It's cheap, there's choice whatever you want to eat and just culture brows here. Yes hygiene is off board, but hee we were in Singapore for food right. One of my favorite stalls makes their own dumplings: the dough, the filling and the boiling part. They're huge and they have a lot of veggie and non veggie choices. They even have fillings with sweet peanuts and red beans!

Healthy stars: 2/5

Menu: DF, GF, fish, meat, Vegan, vegetarian

Recommendation: the dumpling stall

ION Orchard food republic

Another one of my favorite food courts it the Food Republic in ION Orchard, which is the number one shopping mall in Singapore, yes prices are a little bit higher (just1-2 SGD for dishes) BUT quality is better as well. I'd recommend you to get a fresh smoothie with some delicious Indonesian rice plate.

Healthy stars: 3/5

Menu: DF, GF, fish, meat, Vegan, vegetarian

Recommendation: the Indonesian food stall, avocado hula Malakais smoothie

Potato Head

Restaurant Potato Head in Singapore is the brother of beach club potato head in Bali. You can get burgers, hotdogs, fries, cocktails and really good wine. Not a meat eater like me? Potato head got your back with their impossible burger. With their perfect and cozy rooftop, it is the perfect place to spend your Friday evening!

Healthy stars: 4/5

Menu: DF, GF, fish, meat, Vegan, vegetarian

Recommendation: the Impossible burger
